Guidelines for Using Armed Forces Plaques

Getting armed forces plaques can be a better way of showing love to the men and women in service. You too can get one to remind you of one who is never with you anymore, one in service, or a veteran. While getting some, though, the following guidelines should be considered.

Official Military Service Seals and Other Trademarks

You may use a myriad of seals and add-ons like the rainbow bridge memorial, but you are prohibited from using the following:
  • United States Army Seals.
  • United States Marine Corps
  • United States Navy
  • United States Air Force
  • United States Coast Guard
Seals and Marks Available Online

Even though you may find armed forces seals and marks available on the internet, you are not allowed to use them on souvenirs or plaques. However, you may obtain permission from the relevant authorities and trademark licensing offices before getting your design to an expert to finalize your plaque.

Also, it is prohibited to use any Military Service marks while creating non-Federal logos. Be it an anniversary plaque or memorial stone, prior permission may only be obtained from the Military Service Trademark program Office.

When you make a service medal, ribbon, or plaque to celebrate a service person that you love, it is advisable to stick to the rules given. Such reproductions of decorations may be created but not allowed on social media websites or for commercial purposes without prior permission.
